Medical Mission Trips

Mobile Medical Clinics

We use medical clinics to not only bring physical healing but to introduce them to the Great Physician.  Throughout the Bible, we see Jesus heal people. By reaching a communities’ physical needs, we are given an opportunity to share the Gospel and provide a hope that can only come from the Lord.  We plant a church each day our mobile medical clinic serves in a new location.  This has proven to be an effective ministry tool to carry the Gospel in hard to reach areas.

Every year we offer several medical mission trip opportunities to East Africa. Repeatedly in scripture we see Jesus heal people even before sharing who he is. When we reach peoples’ needs, they become more receptive to hearing the Gospel.

We partner churches from all across America together with native medical professionals, translators, and pastors in East Africa to provide free mobile medical clinics. Our prayer is that every patient leaves knowing they are loved, prayed for, and had the opportunity to hear the Good News of Christ’s life, death, and resurrection.

What Does a Medical Clinic Look Like?

Together with local professionals, we set up a full clinic with triage, exams and a pharmacy. Serving alongside a local pastor and volunteers, we ensure that every patient leaves feeling loved, prayed for and knowing the Good News of Christ’s life, death and resurrection!  On average, we see about 500 patients a day.  We know this would not be possible without God.

For every day of medical clinic, we also plant a church. Because of this, it means that we never do a medical clinic in the same location. Our teams drive anywhere from 30 minutes to an hour each day to rural villages where medical care is hard to come by.

The process begins with triage. Our triage team, which is comprised of non-medical volunteers, are the first to see the patients. They assess the patients and write down the top symptoms to make the process quicker for the doctors. The patients then see the doctors. After visiting the doctors, they hear from the pastors as their prescriptions are filled. When the pastors have finished, the patients pick up their free prescriptions and they are on their way! On average, our teams see around 500 patients a day.

We’d love to have you! From doctors, nurses and pharmacists, to teachers, students and any other career, we can use you. In the medical clinic, non-medical personnel can work in triage or pharmacy. In addition to our medical clinic we also have a children’s ministry team as well as a construction team.
