We just finished a week of giving essential healthcare and eyecare clinics as well as spreading the gospel outside of Blantyre, Malawi.
Hundreds of Malawians were served medically and hundreds heard the gospel as they waited for medical care. We saw hands raised each day to receive the saving message of the Gospel and our hearts rejoiced each day!
What is always striking is the contrast of worlds and realities. In America, we can get in our car and get healthcare right away. Here in Malawi, because of the weak healthcare system, the people travel, many times by foot, miles and miles and wait hours in the hot sun with no shade and may not even receive healthcare if the medical missions teams run out of time or supplies. We are truly blessed to have access to healthcare even if we complain sometimes about its cost.

The volunteer medical and eye-care teams work hard, but each day more and more surrounding villages hear about the free healthcare and show up to wait. By the last days of the clinics and mission trip, there are food vendors taking advantage of these big crowds selling a number of local foods. The kids and adults alike chew on the local crop, sugarcane. There are still hundreds of people waiting for healthcare at the end of the week.
This is where you can come in and make a difference in these unreached villages in Malawi. With your support in prayer and financially and sending teams, we can continue to help people in remote villages receive the medical care that they need.
Along with the medical care, and most importantly, we share the gospel to those waiting. The mission trip participants along with their amazing interpreters, who are many times pastors, preach the gospel and many respond and some become part of the local church with the local pastor in the area. The goal is not just “souls saved” but healthy churches planted all throughout Malawi and East Africa! We are excited to say this is happening, and we are thankful to see God moving in this part of the world. Please continue to pray for the growth of the church and for all these “Gospel seeds” to grow and mature into multiplying fruit.
